Boeing has certified GPS navigation systems for use on the 737, 747 and new 777 airplanes. The systems include receivers built by Litton or Honeywell (via Canadian Marconi). The antennas used are made by M/A-Com. The GPS data is blended with other nav radio data and inertial data in the Flight Management Computers (FMC). Boeing is currently working to expand the system to other models, and is also involved with research on using GPS as a precision landing aid.>Name witheld until I get specific permission to print it<
