TruckMap

TruckMap is a truck-based (no, really?) mapping platform that mounts laser rangefinders, video cameras and precision GPS. TruckMap is designed for high-volume mapping of points over a wide area.

FliMap

FliMap is a precision mapping system based on a helicopter or gyrocopter. A high resolution laser scanner sweeps the ground beneath the platform, building a 3-D model of the overflown terrain. Digital photos can be laid over the resulting DEM, producing an orthophoto effect. Tracked with precise AROF DGPS, JC&A indicates that accuracies on the order of several centimeters can be produced.
